I would like to lodge a complaint as a dissatisfied customer. I have been to 6 different Spur's within Johannesburg, but I have never seen such pathetic service like Spur in The Glen. First you have to wait for a table if you going to the part with the play section for kids, because that section is so small. We finally got in and the waiter left us at the table for about 15 minutes without even taking our drink orders. I had to call someone to our table where my two kids was already starving. They finally took our order and waited another 20 min. When the food got to us it was cold and tasteless and they forgot to bring my 5year olds food. Like any mother I could not eat until my kids are eating. We waited another 10 minutes for that. And not to mention that food is being carried across from the other side. I do understand that it was busy. But you should then employ more staff as the that section with the kids is very under serviced and looks like everyone was more worried about the servicing the smokers section. The staff and chef from Spur The Glen should take some tips from the Spur staff at Southgate. They give Excellent service every time.
