I sent money to Zambia and was wrongly advised by the bidvest staff in terms of the maximum amount to send. Zambia only allows USD$1000 per person on th ereceiving end. But the teller advised me that i could send up to USD$1800 per person. i was cautious and decided to split the transcation into 2 different names to the value of USD$1250 per person. the receiving parties in zambia told me that they could not access the money as it exceed the limit. So i went back to the same bidvest and to my shock, i could not be asisisted as i didnt have the original transcation slip although ihd the refrence numbers and my id. so i drove back home to get the original tranascation slip. when i got to the airport the 2nd time, the system was "offline". waited patiently for 3 hours after the system came online. then am told i will lose about R3500 because the forex rate had changed. i refused because it was not my fault, was advised wrongly by the bidvest staff and besides, th etransation didnt go through. can someone explain to me what madness this is? it is going to the 3rd day and no one has called me to tell me they will refund me the full amount. MY ADVISE, never transact at that branch!!!
