Hidden eBucks annual fees

I woke up on Sunday and checked my bank balances only to notice that I had an additional R200 on my credit card. This struck me as odd considering that I had almost nothing outstanding on it, so I investigated and was shocked by what I found. FNB had charged me R200 for an "eBucks annual fee" because my credit card was linked to the eBucks rewards program. When I joined FNB, nobody informed my of this hidden cost and never in any advertising was it mentioned. This is a huge breach of trust and faith in an institution that flaunts how amazing and "free" eBucks are.

I always used to believe that FNB was a decent bank, looking after it's customers in some small way but this just proves me wrong yet again. I was so angry that I wanted to cancel my credit card, but upon further reflection, I think I will just close all my accounts with FNB and move to another bank. If they can't even be honest with me about eBucks, I don't what to see what other surprise costs are waiting for me down the line...
