MIBFA
Deceased Claim pending 10 months late

I have been liasing with Prince Setlodi on my late husbands claim and this process has been the most frustrating from the onset in July 2012. After posting all my documents on immediate delivery, I called the MIBFA offices a month later only to find out that my documents were not captured. Over the months that followed the excuses ranged from documents not being captured, documents missing, documents still not captured, documents posted, post office strike, wait for 2 weeks and call back to have your statement e-mailed. I have followed through on all of these only to find out now that the Team Leader cannot give me a timeline as to when the statement will be e-mailed to me. I was told this would take 7 days since the 17th April but still nothing. After every call, the goal posts just keep moving further and further. This then delays the court mandate and then the payment which should take 2 months then moves further out. My husbands death has impacted both my 5 year olds and my life drastically and I was of the opinion that the fund would at least give priority to deceased claims. The service is pathetic and i really hope that there is someone at the fund that can assist.
