I took out a consolidation and personal loan last year with them, and later re-financed the personal loan. I got retrenched 6 months later and I contacted them to advise them. They said I shouldn't worry and that I would be sorted. The consolidation loan then was approved on the retrenchment claim policy, but the personal loan was a nightmare from day one. They keep phoning and sms-ing EVERY SINGLE DAY to tell me they are going to issue a judgement against me for non payment, and every time I explained that I got retrenched and that I am covered for that they said they'll investigate, but it NEVER STOPS..!!! I even went as far as paying them another installment which now equals 7 payments, which I couldn't afford, but thought would help me, and I still get harassed by them EVERY SINGLE DAY. I told them I want to know at what court I must be at and when, so I can tell the judge that they can approve the one loan for suspension due to retrenchment but not the other, AND I know the judge would agree with me, and are now so desperate that I am about to report Old Mutual to the Short-Term Insurance Ombudsman for harassment. THIS CAN'T GO ON LIKE THIS ANYMORE...!!!
