Did you know that when Standard Bank is good they are REALLY good, but when they are BAD they are REALLY BAD?! I was granted a customer credit assist loan in December 2012 which was handled at the Std Bank Bayside Branch. They pay all your debt for you from your loan account. According to them if you have a Std Bank account you want to settle, in this case my credit card, they pay it in full with money from your loan account and then they close your credit card account at the same time. This is all stated in your contract and explained to you. What does'nt make sense is that they did not pay my account in full as they were supposed to do and they did not close it either. A week ago after receiving a demand for payment I made an enquiry and was told to pay the R200 odd outstanding and then I can go in and close my account. BUT what about what Std Bank was supposed to do in December, do you just go OOPS we forgot to do our duty and walk away and leave me with the bill? That is not fair, common, why does Std bank keep letting me down. Why do you make it so hard to trust you? What next?
