BAD CREDIT RATING DUE TO UNAUTHRISED BANKING

Dear Hello Peter,

I was without work for almost 2 years and could not maintain payments on my Credit Card, Personal Loan and Cheque account.

In June 2012 I finally got a decent job and managed to obtain financing to Consolidate my debt with Standard Bank. In October 2012, I paid all my aforesaid accounts off as per Standard Bank and instructed them to close all my accounts, i.e. Personal Loan, Credit Card and Cheque account. I also moved all my banking to another bank.

Yesterday, I received an e-mail regarding my "Standard Bank Cheque Account" and discovered that Standard Bank never closed the account as per my instructions. Debit orders still ran on this account and that this account is now again in arrears.

I have written a long complaint e-mail to Standard Bank, but have not had any response from them in this regard.

I would like to have this matter resolved, and I refuse to pay for any amounts that is outstanding as they proceeded with my account without my authorisation. Due to this I have still a bad credit rating and I need this to be resolved and corrected as soon as possible.
