On Saturday 30 March 2013 a Standard Bank ATM at Northmead Square in Benoni went into a loop and gave me a message "please be patient your transaction is being processed". Although my account had been debited I received no funds.
It took me 90 minutes in the bank to get my problem attended to, only to be told it would take 15 business days to resolve and I was given a loose piece of paper with ref no 52544954.
Now, 20 BUSINESS DAYS later I still have not heard from Standard Bank, and I still have not received my money back. This I see as EXCEPTIONALLY POOR customer service and I also think it is ridiculous that they expect people, and especially myself, as I am a pensioner, to finance errors and mistakes created by their own machines.
