Pathetic Standard Bank (or is it Stranded Bank)

On the 21st March 2013 I was at a Standard Bank ATM in Wonder Park trying to withdraw money. The ATM did not dispense the money and kept on displaying the message "Please wait while your transaction is being processed". However, I received an sms notifying me that the transaction has been completed and my account duly debited with R500.I waited patiently for the ATM to dispense the money. After a cool 15-20 minutes, there was still no money dispensed. I duly called Standard Bank call centre to let them know and left the ATM still displaying the same message. I spoke to a lady called Sandra. On 25th March I called again to make a follow up on the query. I spoke to another lady who informed me that Sandra did not log a query as she was supposed to but that she will do it promptly. She gave me a ref number 01563508 and told me that the query will take up to 9 days to resolve. This morning (exactly 9 days after), I called again and was told by Andile (Ref no 3758257) that nothing has been done on the account. Andile wanted to tell me what I should and shouldn't have done in reporting the incident. He asked me to stay on the line while he sorted the matter out - Imagine. A DISGUSTED Lebo Matlou
