Change Debit Order Dates is a Nightmare!!!
On the 17/04/2013 I went to Mall @ Carnival ABSA branch to change my debit order dates. The consultant just wrote it on a piece of paper & made me sign it. Needless to say it was not done. On 20/04/2013 I went to the East Rand Mall Branch were Natasha Le Roux assisted me and send through my application. On Monday I called the call center to find out if this has been done. No one could assist me. Today I went back to bank where they told me that the debit order won't be changed to the 1st of May as I have to this 7days before my original debit order date. My original debit order date is the 27th of each month. Isn't the 17th 10 days before & isn't the 20th 7 days before? I have now decided seeing as ABSA is unwilling to help me I will be closing my account on Saturday. I won't be getting paid on the 25th anymore as I am starting at a new job that pays on the last day of every month. Why is it so difficult to change debit order dates? Oh I was also advised that if I don't pay this month I will get a penalty?! I am trying to pay!
