I am the owner of BTC Engineering, which main business is to build Truck Bodies. We are situated North of Pretoria in the Bon Occord area. We are well known by the leading truck dealers for our high quality en superior service. On 26/03/2013 at about 00:15 our premises was raided by means of forcible entry and security guards were apprehended. Seeing that were supply a service to client vehicles, we had about ten client vehicles on our premises. The Robbers initially broke threw concrete walls and tied and locked the guard away. Afterwards the removed wheels and batteries from client vehicles. The then broke main gate and entered with their vehicle and loaded their takings.
As being comprehensively insured with Mutual & Federal - we lodged a claim, which after 2 weeks of discussions, they eventually and finally refused to pay our claim, seeing that cover is restricted to of the whole vehicle and not partial loss of parts from vehicle. Total valued claimed for - R308 000, 00. Vehicles insured under cover for - R1 500 000, 00.
