On two separate incidences, in the past 2 weeks with Standard bank.
I currently bank with Standard bank, Last week sometime, i go into my local branch in Phoenix, to inquire about a foreign currency transactional account, the lady at the help desk told me that they do not deal with forex and i should go to their nearest branch in Umhlanga to query it. I proceeded to go to a FNB branch, where i was pleasantly surprised, that even though i am not a client of theres but they called for me to find out exactly what they offer and how i go about sorting it out. That is Service!!
On Friday 19/04/13, i call the Standard bank forex call center, to authorise clearance of pending forex funds, i was assisted promptly and was told that the money would be in my account that very Day. After waiting the whole of Friday still no money into my account, they money was to play an important part of my weekends events. its is now sunday night and still no money, i have had to cancel reservations, bookings, and am being charged a storage fee as i was to pick up my car from the mechanic on saturday.20/13. this was all due to me being promised i would have the money on friday19/04 #upset#dissappointed
