I went to Standard Bank Woodmead to purchase foreign currency. For my wife. It was the 18th september at 14h00. We were leaving for Overseas that evening. The lady in Forex insisted my wife produce proof of residence which I did niot have at this point in time but my wife has an account at thuis branch. They would not assist despite me protesting that I need this forex before I depart. Standard Bank advertised the 10/10 service so sent an SMS to the number. They only responded 2 weeks later a lady by the name of Funekile Kumalo to say they are sorry. My question is this a 10/10 service from Standard Bank. No one was prepared to assist me. I was furious as we were leaving that evening. I walk out and went next door to FNB and they were willing to assist me. I want to know what is the 10/10 service they are advertising. and why did they call me only after two weeks to say we are sorry. When I complained bitterly to Funekile she promised to investigate and call me. No calls and on the 31st I called her and she was surprised and did not know what I was talking about. Is this the service we are getting from Standard Band?!!!
