I went to fnb in braamfontein last friday to open up a savings account... i had a certified copy of my id but the date of certification was old an i have lost my id and im currently using my passport i also went to the trouble of making an affidavite as proof that i have reported the matter, ... i did not have my original passport with me so., only had a certified copy... i was told by the consultant that i must bring my original passport together with proof of adress... i went back there with the documents i was told to bring... than i was assisted by another agent who told me i need to apply for an id and come with a temporary id they cannot use my passport... but i told him the lady who assisted me told .i.must just bring my original passport and the agent asks me for a permit... obviously he dint look to see that i am a south african citizen... i recieved bad service and incorrect information. I will not be doing any businesses with fnb will take my money somewere else. An obviously my passport has all the information they need.
