No notification for CC locking

I am very upset and disappointed with ABSA.

Apparently you have send in FIS docs every two years otherwise they lock your credit card.
I have never been informed about this.

PLUS: they JUST LOCK the credit card and send you a SMS to inform you that it is locked until you bring documents.
This is very poor customer service. WHY could you not notify me that you need FIS docs otherwise my credit card will be locked.

I travel a lot and my credit card is my main purchase mechanism.

If you could notify me that the card will be locked you could have informed me that you will lock it in "x" amount of days if the docs are outstanding.

I have now heard that this seems to be a trend with ABSA
