Actually I have a compliment as well as a complaint on the same matter, but in this case the compliment is more applicable. Recently an unknown company in the USA attempted to withdraw R32 000 from my credit card. The next day a lady from ABSA called me to discuss this with me and fortunately the transaction could be reversed. I am very thankful about this quick action taken by ABSA.
What I am not very happy about, is that ABSA promised that this attempt would be investigated within 48 hours, which did not happen. Furthermore I immediately signed up for the Notify Me service on my credit card, but the last week I used my credit card several times without receiving any notification.
