I received an SMS from Standard Bank stating that my credit card is overdue. Firstly, I have 2 credit cards with Standard bank, so it's not possible for me to establish which card this sms refers to. While I understand that it could be a security risk to include the full number, surely the last 4 digits of the card could be included?
Furthermore the sms provides a number to contact & states that you can phone between 8am & 9pm. I tried calling the number at about 6:30pm last night only to hear a recording state that consultants are only available until 6pm!
I would like to point out that the one credit card is paid up in full while the other was paid at the beginning of the month! So what's going on?
