My cerdit card with standard bank has expired. For the fact that I do not carry my credit card with me around on daily basis, I missed teh fact that it expired. I was withdrawing some money when I learned that the card date has lapsed.

I called standard bank on the 4th of March to inquire if my card is going to be replaced and I was told that the card was sent to Protea Gardens and is now returned because it was not collected. I asked the woman I spoke to if they could not notify me and she said they were going to do that after this request. I also relized that they had my old numbers and I gave them new ones and she said I could only change them at the branch. I told her I already answered all the security questions and the fact that they going to credit my cheque account from my credit card, I do not understand why then changing a number should be more complicated. At the end she told me they could not change my number but my card will be ready between 5-7 working days. The credit balance on my credit card was going to be also sent to my cheque card within the same time.

Today I called again and I was told the exact same story. My money and my card are still with them.
