Is Standard Bank trying to go out of business?

Standard bank credit card division has sent me a letter stating that my credit card has been upgraded to a gold card and that they would now be charging me more per month for this facility. What a cheek! I did not give standard bank permission to forcibly upgrade me without even asking me. Furthermore they cannot get my address details or my phone number right, they have sent my credit card to the wrong branch, they keep sending me letters instead of emails, they ignore my emails and their call centre is dis-functional. What is going on Standard Bank? A previous complaint via HelloPeter resulted in Standard Bank actually getting my post box number correct. However, they still have not managed to get the rest of the details right. IS IT REALLY SO DIFFICULT?
