Two years ago, Diners Club changed their policy with regard to airport lounge access. I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS and neither was a colleague of mine. She promptly cancelled her card. Unfortunately, I kept mine, thinking this was a once-off error. Now this has happened again. I received an SMS towards the end of March that the policy had changed and that unless I spent R15 000 per quarter, I would have to pay fully for my lounge use during that period. I called Diners Club, to be told clients had been informed by SMS and e-mail last year. Again, I HAD RECEIVED NEITHER AN SMS NOR AN E-MAIL TO THIS EFFECT and the SMS in March was the first I heard about the policy change. I was told to write an e-mail to the customer service department but I do not have the spirit to fight for a refund AGAIN and will be happy to cancel my card.
