Bank Account Debited AFTER cancellation of policy

I have been with this insurance company for about 6 year and cancelled my policy as of 31 March 2013.
Part of my cancellation request was to ensure that my account was not debited again. Come the 1st of April, money was taken from my account again. I immediately emailed asking for my refund and got a reply the next day that they will look into it. The 3rd of April i had to email for an update to which i got a reply that this is normal as they debited in arrears, this in fact was not the case. I have always paid in advance, like it is with any insurance company. I phoned and was informed that they changed to a new administrator in Dec 2012 and they now debit in arrears, after explaining that i have not missed a payment we concluded I do indeed pay in advance and it will be looked at. The 4th of April i was informed that its been escalated to a Mr. Graham Swain. On the 8th i asked for an update, so to on the 9th and again on the 10th. Eventually after phoning twice on the 10th i got an email stating Mr. Swain will phone me before 12h00 today with an update. Its now 12h30 and nothing. Apparently they are dealing with 10 other cases like this, how many others are there? Unacceptable!
