I decided to take a policy and later realised that it was not financially possible to have the policy at the moment so I decided to take advantage of the "cooling off" period and cancelled the following policy on the 14 November 2013 well within the 30 day cooling off period and before any debit orders went through.

I sent many emails and written confirmations which were scanned and emailed through to Discovery, all waiting a response. All I received was an electronic reply, but never an email to confirm cancellation of my policy.
Yesterday debits totaling R819.72 were debited from my account for Life and R500 for Invest. This is money that should not have been debited as I informed Discovery well in advance of the cancellation. I have even tried to contact the call centre and I have waited over 5 minutes and still no operator took my call. I'm at my wits end and require a full refund as soon as possible.
