I'm very much disgusted at the company above.

March 20, 2013 I took up car insurance with them. The insurance was supposed to start on the 25th of April when they debit my bank account. Halfway through April I changed my mind and decided to cancel this insurance. On April 17, 2013 I sent King Price an email clearly stating my intention to cancel.

That email was delivered and someone read it. There was no follow through from their side and so I assumed that they were accepting my cancellation. Came April 25, 2013 King Price were the third company to debit me. They took from my account R835. I noticed this and phoned them to request my money back. I don't remember who I spoke with, but I was informed that it takes four days after debit for the money to reflect on their side. I was promised that it will be deposited back into my account after it has reflected on them.

On 3 May 2013 they deposited R698.02. What about the balance? That very same day I sent King Price another email requesting the balance. To this day there has been no response.

Is this not day-light mugging?
