Virgin Insurance
48 hrs becomes two weeks

Took out insurance at Virgin. They requested proof of my tracker installation so I forwarded the fitment invoice, and confirmed receipt there off. I received an sms stating that they are still waiting for the tracker documents. I mailed them back stating that they confirmed receipt of the documents and the answer that followed was that the company that installed the device is not a recognised tracking company. So I informed them that it is a installation company that was appointed by the tracking company, and that I would like to cancel my policy with immediate effect. This was on 18 February 2013. They only replied to my email on 8 March 2013 with some kind of techinical difficulty excuse. In their reply they acknowledged receipt of my cancellation request and that it is being processed. An amount of R 1000 was debited from my account by virgin insurance I contacted the call centre on the same day and the person informed me that the policy has not been cancelled yet, but they will cancel it. I then requested them to pay back the money into my bank account. I contacted them twice afterwards wrt my money and the last time they said 48hrs. Up till now no refund!!!
