Incompetent ABSA employees

Today is the second time Absa phoned us to say we have not enough funds for the foreign payment we handed in via an overseas payment form, even though we had more than enough.
We wanted to pay a Euro supplier invoice with our available pounds. We had more pounds in our account than the Euros we wanted to pay. It is common sense that when you convert Euros into Pounds the amount is less, as the Pound is stronger than the Euro.
The incompetent employees at ABSA Bank find it extremely difficult to do this conversion.
I would like to know who these people that work with the funds of many South Africans get hired.
Is it based on education? If so, it still needs to be proven.
