I have been depositing Salary cheques into my account since April 2012 and everytime I go to make a deposit it gets cleared immediately due to special arrangement. On the 29th of October I had the same complaint about this same Randburg branch and the Branch Manager at the time Michael said I should just have a letter and this won't be a problem going forward as they can see on the account that the cheques get deposited every month and they get cleared. Today 9 April I went to the branch the teller went fora authorisation and a Kim Pedro called for authorisation in front of me and she got a response and signed the cheque fro authorisation and said the needed a second signature I should wait, she further explained that she will put a code on the system for the clearance. after waiting for 20 minutes a Bernice Johnston comes through and tells me that she will NOT authorise the immediate clearance I should know who cleared it for me the last time and go to them. And she took the deposit slip I had filled in that Kim has an authorisation code on and destroyed it and said she will only do a special clearance and I will have to pay R70, its not her problem that they cleared this before.
