Cheque clearance

Last month a cheque was deposited into my account, i went to the jabulani mall branch and the cheque was cleared the same day without any hassles.yesterday again a cheque was deposited ibto my account, i went to fnb to have it cleared and i was given stories, there's currently no money in my account and my account is overdrawn.i don't understand how fnb can change their policies without communicating to their clients.i'm in desperate need of money and i was expecting to have that cheque cleared today.can someone please tell me when did the polcy change coz eve the teller couldn't explain to me.i just want my money, i don't want any stories
