I took a policy with AIG August 2010. Part of the benefits included in the policy is maternity benefits. On the 13th of of March 2013 I faxed through the claim form together with the supporting documents. On the 17 of March 2013 i called to follow up on my claim and I was then told that my claim has been declined, because I'm not covered for maternity benefits. i was advised to call Standard Bank which is the broker to double check my policy of which I did and they agreed that I am covered for maternity benefits. Standard bank then took my claim forms and forwarded them to AIG on the 18 of March 2013. I gave them a call this morning on the 9th of April 2013 and they gave me the same responds that my claim has been declined. Can i please be assisted in these matter.
