Please assist me. I am pregnant and i did not know about GEMS maternity programme until i consulted on the 22nd of Jan 2013. on the 23rd of Jan 2013 i then registred with the programme and i received an sms saying i was successfully registred as from the 24th of Jan 2013. my bill was paid on the 31st of jan 2013 but not from my maternity benefit but from my annual day to day benefits. which leaves me with R992 for consultations for 2013 whereas i will be paying more than R992 montly. its only 31st of Jan but i am already owing suppliers, because the claim department did not allocate my funds on maternity funds. The benefits that are on maternity i wont be able to use it since i consulted before i was registred, but they paid the suppliers after i was registred of which i was asking them to reverse or redirect the payment. All the bloods i took that day it was all pregnant related tests and on maternity we have benefits for blood tests. i want GEMS to help me understand what is going to happen to the benefits i am entitled to since i am paying? Whats worries me again they expect us to know their programmes wheres they dont come for compaigns for awareness. Thank you.
