2hrs @ the bank yet not serviced as expected

I went to FNB on the 27th of March 2013 around 11am. I had taken lunch to go to the bank as I expected to be assisted in less that an hour. I had 4 things, one was to change my in contact cellphone number, two was to get bank statement and three was to get a cheque account and not get assisted with internet banking. I was attended to around 12:30. The consultant changed my cellphone number. Now came to creating a cheque account. As I already am banking with them I didn't expect them to request everything that they did. I nevertheless went quickly to a nearby shop to ask for a statement as proof of residence, came back they didn't take it because it only had my one initial even though my identity number was on the statement. I went out again to get another statement and they still couldn't take it because it was a copy even though it was stamped. I then gave them a letter from discovery that had just been hand delivered and again they didn't take it because
it is within the FNB group. Now if I am their client not only with banking but also with discovery, why couldn't I be assisted? With the post office strike what are we to do? Not one superior could come talk to me. Too busy
