I am a medical doctor and opened an Elite cheque account during May 2013. When I received my July banking statement my physical address had been changed to another address! This is the ID number emailed locked statement! I used the internet banking secure message service to alert Standard Bank to this but received no reply as yet (7 Oct 2013). I physically visited * in August and spoke to the branch manager, who assured me they will sort it out within 5 working days, changed my address back and that I will be contacted. Someone keeps changing my personal details from Standard Bank side (again Sept 2013) which surely means someone is committing an RICA offence, is it not? I have contacted Elite Banking on at least 3 occasions the last month. Standard Bank keeps emailing me Customer Data Group will respond... Beware of poor personal information security from Standard Bank Elite banking.
