To anyone who wants to open and FNB account online - DO NOT do it. You will have endless trouble with a bank that claims they are there to help you and then when you need help, it's your problem.

I opened and account online a few weeks ago. I noticed on my bank statement that the address is my previous address. I opened the account with my current address and never gave them my previous address so how does it appear on my statement. Who sold FNB that information???

Now 2 call centres refuse to change the address (which was a mistake on their side in the first place). I have to physically go into a branch. I have had queries on this account before and have no idea what my ATM pin is but they asked me other security questions and helped me anyway. Now suddenly it is a major problem.

I have had nothing but trouble with FNB and all their divisions (wesbank, insurance, banking, switching) since i have been doing business with them.

FNB are definitely NOT there to help you, just to collect your bank fees.

I am going to close my account and want nothing to do with FNB ever again.
