My dad had a claim with Telesure and they decided to deduct prejudice from the payout without discussing it with him. I had to help him to try and find out why there was monies deducted from his payout of his valid claim. I was informed that because he had only 5 instead of 7 years uninterrupted cover (which my dad as a lay person would not know the difference this would have made) they had deducted R6589 from the payout.
The difference in the premium he should have paid and what he did pay is a mesely R68??? Seriously how fair is that? I have sent a complaint to their resolution department but they stand by the descision and dont even have the decency to send me the email to confirm their descision which I have been waiting for since Monday. Phoning Kanye is also a waste of time as she is never at her desk and never returns my calls. I suppose Ombudsman is the only route from hereon.
