Last month I had an incident whereby Debit orders went off on the 15th but the payment from a client reflected on the 16th. On the 17th Nedbank charges me a R90 honouring fee for both. I realise that I might be in the same position again, decide to call them for advice. Firstly, tried for almost 30 minutes going from extension to extension.
I speak to it seems like a Junior who then refers me to Naomi Barron who is senior in the Credit. Risk assessment department. Shocked. I was explaining the situation to her and then asked her advice. It goes like this is there a way that my Debit orders can be honoured as I received proof of payment for an amount of R 1 375 or should I go to the bank and make a Cash Deposit. She tells me that she still cannot guarantee the debit orders being honoured, I must phone back at 8.00am tomorrow. CASH DEPOSIT OVER THE COUNTER AT THE BANK REFLECTS IMMEDIATELY. Nedbank has never supported Small Business and if there is one decision I regret most of all is switching to NEDBANK in 2011. My business was much better off in the previous 5 years with my previous bank, There was Relationship
