I applied for a loan with African Bank inSeconds last Friday and was approved for R4000.On Monday I went into the branch to complete the application where I was approved for R3000.Everything was fine until my employer had to be registered with African Bank through another department. The next day the Branch Manager, who was assisting me, gave me a call to advise that the company has been approved and that they just needed to confirm emloyment before paying out the loan. She confirmed the work number which was captured incorrectly when I did the application and said she would pass it on to processing to finalise. Later that day she, after I called her about 3 times, she finally tells me the loan was declined because my employer was blacklisted. What rubbish is that??? Since when is my credit worthiness dependent on my employer's credit worthiness and did African Bank check the correct employer?? I have never experience such bad customer service in my life and all attempts to get a proper explanation is fruitless..It seems every time the branch makes a mistake the client suffers. I doubt if I'll get a response to this if I read the other complaints on this site but I'll tell the world anyway.
