I took out car insurance with Oakhurst in October last year (2012).

In December I wanted to add another driver to my insurance over the December period as I was driving long distance and wanted to have another driver share the load. After two FULL weeks of calling every day (none of the operators are ever free, they insist on calling you back when they are available and then simply don't) to add another driver to my insurance, it was eventually time for me to go on the trip. I called 5 times throughout the day (at every roadside stop along the 15 hour road trip to the Eastern Cape) trying desperately to finalise a second insured driver. To this day I am still waiting for someone to 'call me back' as promised.

The second instance is when I was double billed last month due to a letter from my previous insurer not being submitted. I DID submit this letter, during the same week that I open the contract, however l found out, only after calling again many many times, that the letter was in the wrong format. I have since resubmitted and have been calling for two weeks now to see whether anyone has even recieved it. In fact I am on hold on the line right now...
