I have been trying to cancel my car insurance with MiWay since the 1st October 2013.
I submitted a signed letter of cancellation to end the MiWay insurance on the 31st October 2013 to my broker. They then informed me that MiWay would not accept the letter and that I would need to phone the call center.
I have since tried twice calling the call center 2 weeks ago to cancel.
First time, the agent persisted in asking me questions about why I wanted to cancel before putting me on hold for an age. After a 15-20 minute wait, the call got cut.
The second time I called, I had to repeat the process (agent again asking me why I wanted to cancel). This time I got put through to the Retention department who again asked numerous questions about why I wanted to cancel.
The worst is that I was again put on hold and the call was cut.
I had asked for a reference number but your system apparently doesn't have reference numbers??
Of course my debit order went off for the month of November now and my insurance with MiWay still is not cancelled as nobody from MiWay has bothered to call me back!
Sadly, I see I am not the only person who has difficulty cancelling their MiWay insurance.
