Standard Bank's customer care is non-existent. I have contacted 5 different people with respect to substitution of debtor on my home loan account. Each of these people has given conflicting information. Does anyone know what is going on? First of all I was informed to have signed letter from both parties. Then I was told to produce several pieces of documentation from my accountant - which I now have. Today, I am told I need to fill in a substitution of debtor form. Apart from the fact that I am at my wits end, it appears that no-one is authorised to send through an electronic copy of this form. Am now awaiting Danie Voegel, a Call Centre team leader, to call (according to Dumi, the last rep I spoke to).
If any other bank can assist with the form and the process, I will consider changing my bank immediately.
