I applied for an FNB bank account about three weeks back on line, got a response from them, it was a lady that gave me a brief run-down about the account and etc. She then provided me with relevant documents and stated that my bank card would be delivered to me and ill need to provide the courier company with a copy of my ID and proof of residence, it would take about two weeks to get to me. Since I am very busy everyday I was happy with the whole process. To date I have no card, I called the call centrer number for a follow up 3 days ago, I was told they opened up an inquiry with the courier company, they will call me in 24 or 54 hours. Today I call them again only to be told that the card cannot be delivered to me, ill need to go into a branch and collect card. This is totally false advertising and false information from FNB I have no time to walk into any branch and join a long lines at the bank, therefore I applied on line which now seems to be a total waste of my time and resources. My wife and I applied for FNB accounts at the same time thinking it will be a better bank, but it seems like there is nothing different. Our accounts will be closed with FNB.
