DONT Bother opening an account online

I applied for a cheque card online from FNB and waited over a week to have it delivered to me. After receiving the card I then discovered that I had to activate the card. I visited my nearest branch (Hatfield Pretoria) and was told that I'd have to return to my home to fetch the SAME details (ID, proof of residence etc) I'd already given the courier. It turns out that I also cant activate my card via the phone because the courier hasn't gotten my details back to FNB 3 days later.

It is of no concern to me that my card was delivered on Friday and it is now Monday. The bottom line is that I've now spent massive amounts of money on the telephone and nearly two weeks for a card I could have spent a few hours in the bank on a Saturday morning picking up. DONT BOTHER APPLYING ONLINE IT IS A MASSIVE WASTE OF YOUR TIME. Just bight the bullet and spend the necessary hours waiting in a queue to get your card.
