Wesbank
Charges added after arrears paid!

I was sent an sms on the 20 February 2013 that my account was in arrears for an amount of R2650.00. a few days later I paid an amount of R2700.00. On the 8 March 2013, I logged into my online banking to find my vehicle account was now in a negative R236.00. I sent an email and received a reply on Monday, 11 March 2013, requesting my I.D. number. Today I received an email asking me on the same email trails to state my query. I called the Wesbank helpdesk and spoke to a team leader/manager who explained that the collections dept (Wesbanks sister company) has charged me for some fee. I asked him who sent the sms and he explained that it was sent from the collections dept. He said he was going to transfer me to the collection department and then I got cut off.

How can an amount be requested to be paid ('to avoid further penalties") but is not the correct amount and I am being charged a further penalty after paying the requested amount???
Why was this amount not included in the sms and I am now being charged and my account in a negative?
This is very unjust practice and very poor service. I am still awaiting an email he promised me with the contact details of the collection dept??
