My mother was treated by a dentist during February 2013 for an abses in her mouth. The tooth was removed and after still she could not manage to open her mouth to eat or dink any liquids. She was eventually admitted to hospital with kidney failure. During this incident we had to mak several calls to the Oneplan due to the fact that they took their time with the approval of the pre-authorization. On Thursday my mother's cheek started swelling again and due to the fact that the previous dentist moved she got an appointment with a new dentist on 2013-03-09, whom which I must say is still the name medical practitioner worth. He referred her to a specialist on 2013-03-11. During this examination x-rays was done and the specialist wanted to admit my mother. He wanted scans, biopsy for possible tumor and theatre procedures. I phoned Oneplan yesterday with a promise that they would phone me back. Needless to say, no response. My brother also made several calls to Oneplan with the same promise, with the same outcome. They have a 48 hiur turn over time. The pre-authorization was just rejected due to the fact that they don't cover dental procedures in hospital. What do they cover???
