Applying for credit with african bank is a pain

On the 17 of February I made an online appication, the system said I need to go into a branch as further information was needed. I went into the branch as requested and the consultant couldn't proceed as she needed the head office to perform a rejection. She sent a request and asked me to come back the next day. She sent another request in front of me this time and there was no response. We finally called the head office to ask for that rejection only to be told that I have to call again "next week Monday" and ask for Amanda who will do the rejection then and then only. So far I have made 2 trips to the branch with no help. The consultant is willing to help but can't because of the incompetence of the people in the sales department at the head office. Its very irritating to have to spend 2 days at a branch and come out with nothing. I am an existing client with African bank and I don't understand why there is so much fuss. I wonder why Amanda is the only person who can perform a rejection in such a huge company like African bank? And how many times does one have to visit a branch for a simple loan application? I am disappointed with the service from this so called head office!
