I have a personal loan with Nedbank and was retrenched in November 2012. The retrenchment insurance was paid into my personal loan, however the problem is this Nedbank still wants you to make payment for your loan regardless if you are working or not. You are told that if ur account is not paid you will be handed over to the legal department. I do understand that I am liable for the account however Nedbank refuses to use the R12500.00 paid into the loan to help the client maintain his/her payments until that amount is exhausted. The attitude is simple SORRY that is the way it is and nothing will be done about it.
How is R12500.00 paid into the account and be told if u miss one payment your account goes into arrears. Surely Nedbank has no feelings to understand That the client has been retrenched and DOES NOT HAVE WORK in order to maintain the required payments.
In my opinion Nedbank just says you we want our money we DO NOT CARE ABOUT U WE WANT OUR MONEY, again I say I fully understand that I am Liable however a little helping hand from Nedbank goes along way. I am sure that I am not asking much.. I wait ur response
