Loan not paid up after claim and not informed

I have a loan account with Nedbank and 3 years ago I was dismissed and couldn't pay my account for 3 months, however I picked up the payment later including the 3 months that were not paid for. The month of August 2013 I was retrenched and at that time I still had an outstanding amount that I was meant to pay, however I couldn't because I am no longer working and provided all the necessary document that I was meant to for the insurance to pay off the remaining amount in the account. Few weeks later I received an sms stating that my claim was successful not stating that there is an outstanding amount that I have to pay off. I tried to call the call centre to get clarity as Ive received an sms from my bank stating that Nedbank tried to deduct a certain amount of money. I couldn't understand why as I do not work and cannot afford to pay a cent. When I spoke to the consultant, he told me that my account was in arrears for the 3 months that I wasn't working sometime in 2010 which I do not understand because that amount was paid. I want proof that I did not pay for these 3 months because the statements that I do have show that my account was up to date. Stop crooking your customers.
