I HAD BEEN A CLIENT OF ABSA DIRECT FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS. I HAD A TRUCK INSURED WITH A MONTHLY PREMIUM OF ABOUT R 2000, 00. I HAD IT TRANSFERRED INTO A SISTER COMPANY ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO, AFTER SPEAKING TO MY BROKER HE ASSURED ME THAT ALLS WELL COS EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE BANKING DETAILS WERE THE SAME.
I HAD A CLAIM ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO AND ABSA REPUDIATED SAYING THAT I HAVE NO VESTED INTEREST IN THE VEHICLE. I THEN ASKED ABSA TO RETURN MY PREMIUMS FOR THE TWO YEAR PERIOD SINCE THEY SAY THAT THEY HAVE NO VESTED INTEREST IN IT.
MY BROKER SENT ME AN EMAIL WITH A REFUND OF R 500.00 WHICH I ASKED HIM TO SHOVE IT. HE NEITHER TAKES MY CALLS NOR DOES HE RETURN MY EMAILS.
IS THIS WHAT WE MUST EXPECT FROM A COMPANY OF THIS STATURE,
WELL I SUPPOSE THEY WILL TAKE OUR
" MONEY TODAY, TOMORROW" AND WE WILL NEVER SEE YOU WHEN WE NEED YOU
