ABSA adding insurance fees to my bill

Good day,

ABSA and Hollard Insurance (AIP) have added an amount of R402 to my vehicle finance installment since January of this year.

ABSA Claim that they are doing spot checks to make sure that client's vehicles are insured.

I was NEVER contacted by ABSA or Hollard to request insurance confirmation, not by email, telephone, fax or mail.

I have thoroughly read through my ABSA Vehicle Finance agreement and nowhere does it state that ABSA or Hollard are allowed to do this.

My vehicle has been insured with Dial Direct since the day i drove it out of the dealership and my insurance has never once been cancelled or stopped.

I would like ABSA to please refund me the full amount of R402.58 x 7 (January 2013 - July 2013) with immediate effect please.
