How can we unhelp you?

I applied for a home loan with FNB through Ooba - the bond originators.

My wife is in a psychologist contracted to 3 different companies in a part-time capacity. However, FNB categorised her as self-employed, even though she was able to provide current contracts, payslips and proof of retainer.

As such, FNB wanted 6 months bank statements, financial year end schedules and SARS assessments for 2011 and 2012, and management accounts for the current year to prove income in order to process the application. Even though we were able to provide 6 months payslips showing year to date totals for income, FNB insisted on management accounts for 2013. This was then provided.

Despite providing all this information, FNB have the application on hold. We are told FNB are refusing to acknowledge the management accounts because they are not in the year end schedule format we submitted for 2011 and 2012.

It seems very obstructive and unhelpful for FNB to take this attitude when:
1. So much other supporting and corroborating information has been provided.
2. They did not specify any format for the management accounts to start
3. The accountant is prepared to clarify any queries FNB may have.
