Progress on Home Loan Application

In June, I requested about a re advance on my home loan from my personal banker.
I completed an Application which was forwarded together with relevant supporting information.
She was advised that builders were already on site and I was told that the Application would be assessed urgently.
I do not get feedback and progress updates unless these are requested from my Banker.
Then to, I am constantly told that as I am self employed, the process takes longer but I am not told what further information is required before my request can be considered.
After many calls and threats to escalate my request, I was asked to provide management accounts for my practice although copies had been sent with my application together with Audited financial statements. Further copies were again sent.
I informed my banker that builders needed payment and was assured that the Application was being addressed at the highest level. I was also told that this is normal.
Last week, almost 7 weeks after my request, an assessor is sent out to view the property.
He says he was instructed on 04/07/13 to inspect my property.
To date I have not received any feedback on my request and builders want to stop work.
