Bad Services and not interested to assist

I have been trying to closed my Current account with Nedbank since August last year. I have gone under debt review and therefor had to open another account with another bank.
At this time the account had money left in it. After requesting customer services to close this account, this was never done. Over December 12 I was at one branch where they requested me to pay the outstanding monies on this accountn which was supposed to be closed already. On the 24th of December 2013, I spoke to more than 8 different people, &every time you tell the same story over & over & still they keep on transferring you to various people & until today I have not had any luck with this.
This account has been running since then and there is not one person at the customer services division who is slightly interested in assisting me. I cannot pay this money, as I do not have it. I need your assistance in this regard have called so many times & nothing has ever been done about this.
What must a person do to get the right people to assist, aspecially if it was neglegance from their side and not mine. Its as if nobody is interested in my situation & just wants to take my money.
